On Tap 10/10, 10/11 and 10/12

It's shaping up to be a lovely weekend, Seattle! ...And just in time for fall, this week marks the return of our beloved Apple Brew. As ever, we don't have a ton of it so get it while it lasts.

The full tap list looks something like:

  • IPA
  • ESB
  • Steamer Pale
  • Apple Brew
  • Makeda Coffee Porter
  • Hoppin' Honey (may not be on tap Thursday... but definitely Friday and Saturday)

Rooftop featured in drinkdrank, a beery blog

Thanks to Craig Gravina, a very old friend of Rooftop, for featuring us in his blog, DrinkDrank!

http://www.drinkdrank1.com/2013/09/up-on-roof.html

(Although he will have to make a trek across the country to Seattle if he ever wants change for that $20. . . .  I am sure we can make it up to him in Rooftop Beer!!!)

If you have the time, and you are as beer geeky as we are at Rooftop, Mr. Gravina has done extensive research on the history of beer in New York State and Albany in particular.  It is well worth a read!

On Tap 8/22 and 8/23

We've been busy little brewers the past few weeks. We have lots and lots of exciting beers fermenting (New Zealand Peppercorn Rye, anyone?) and some new additions to the tap list this week.

On Thursday and Friday we'll be pouring:

  • IPA (a nice, aromatic, fresh batch)
  • Steamer
  • Rye IPA
  • Belgian Wit (a new twist on our recipe: this time with lemon peel thrown in the mix!)
  • Bourbon Oak Imperial Porter (nitro tap)
  • GUEST TAP: Hilliard's Murdered Out Stout*

*Once the Stout kicks we'll switch to our Makeda Coffee Porter (woohoo!).

...oh... and Justin over at Standard Brewing will be serving our IPA this weekend. Go show him and his tasty brews some love.

You Drank Us Out of House and Home (Thanks!)

Many, many thanks to everyone who joined us for an incredible Grand Opening celebration last night! It was great to see all the smiling faces enjoying our brews. To all our friends, neighbors, (day job) coworkers, friends-of-friends, loyal fans, new fans, friends-of-fans, Crossfitters, beer geeks, hopheads, WABLers, explorers, alley cats and vagrants: Thank you, thank you, thank you. You all rule.

...So... some bad news: You are rule SO MUCH that you (quite nearly) drank all our beer (and that's saying something, because we really had a lot, more than we thought we needed). As such, the tasting room will be CLOSED tonight.

Rest assured that we'll come back strong (like ox) and be back in action next Thursday and Friday. Time to put our heads down and get brewin'...

Thanks Rooftoppers!

On Tap 8/1 and 8/2

On Tap this Week:

  • Pugland Pale Ale
  • IPA
  • Dry-Hop Wheated Ale
  • Double IPA
  • Rye IPA
  • Cinder Cone Single Hop ISA
  • Imperial Porter (Nitro)
  • Apple Brew

We'll have all eight taps running for our Grand Opening celebration tonight. The Apple Brew and Double IPA are unlikely to survive the night. We'll probably be back down to six taps on Friday.

...oh and we may be opening up the Guest Tap at some point: a Rye IPA from our buddy Justin at Standard Brewing.

Celebrate Rooftop's Aug. 1 Grand Opening on IPA Day with the Mr. Gyro's Food Truck!

That is right - Rooftop Brewing Company is celerating its Grand Opening on IPA Day, August 1! We will feature a full lineup of IPA's (and other beers as well) and Mr. Gyro's food truck will be there serving up some Mediterranean deliciousness!

What's that you say, our tasting room has been open for a month?  That is true, but we never did have a true Grand Opening and what better day to do it than National IPA Day!  Our beer lineup will feature four IPA's, including an IPA, a IIPA, RyePA and single hop Simcoe ISA.  And you never know when the hop rocket might make an appearance.  Join us!

How to Find Us...

This would all be a little easier if our address (6 Dravus) pointed right where we are. Alas, you'll end up around the corner on the other side of the block if you let your Apple or Google Overlords steer the way.

So here's the easiest way to find us:

We're in the alley right behind the 7-11 at the corner of W Nickerson St and Queen Anne Ave N. It's really that simple. You won't find us on Dravus. Just go behind the 7-11 and look for our logo painted on a white garage door. You can't miss it.

...and if coordinates are your thing, we're at:  47.649065, -122.357320

We know, we know. Your mom told you never to meet people in the alley behind the 7-11... but you're just going to have to trust us.
